Depth physiology, O₂ / CO₂ and the dive timeline

Pressure, lung compression, residual volume, blood shift and O₂ / CO₂ dynamics define the conditions in which technique has to work.

O₂ Table Builder

Hypoxic O₂ table generator: from shorter holds to longer holds, with more constant rest and visualization of estimated O₂ reserve. Train O₂ tables only dry, in a safe environment, and never in water without supervision.

CO₂ Tolerance Lab

A CO₂ table keeps a similar hold but gradually shortens the rest. The simulator shows the increase in CO₂ stress and the importance of contraction tolerance.

FRC Dive Visualizer

FRC = functional residual capacity. The demo compares full-lung and FRC scenarios, lung compression according to Boyle’s law and an orientation squeeze-risk zone. FRC dives are technically demanding — the visualization is not a depth recommendation.

Advanced Dive Timeline

Dive timeline: depth, descent speed, freefall start, pressure, approximate lung volume and equalization phases. It helps think through duck dive, active descent, freefall, turn and return.

Pyramid Training Lab

Pyramid protocols let you vary volume, intensity and recovery inside one sequence. The purpose is to plan progression, not maximize stress in every round.

Boyle, RV and Blood Shift

As absolute pressure rises, gas volume falls. Approaching RV changes equalization options and increases the importance of soft technique, air shift and adaptation. Blood shift is a protective mechanism, not a licence to ignore squeeze risk.
